Cederik Leeuwe | Belgo-Dutch photographer from Namur, Belgium
Since I came to photography because I couldn’t paint or draw, most of my early work revolves around illustration and digital experimentations (#artwork). Alongside the artistic endeavors, I’ve worked a lot shooting live events, mostly concerts. After graduating however, the need to create illustrations receded and I’ve been oscillating between these roots and photo-journalism ever since.
Last year, I auto-published a book comprising a selection of 120 pictures taken in Japan over a two year time span. I am currently seeking funding to complete projects that I’ve started there. I’ve also got a project involving Iceland, but as of today, Japan has got my undivided attention.
When not on assignment or working for personal projects, I am a photographer of the mundane and uninteresting aspects of daily-life. I have developed a deep love for B&W and I also still shoot analog and process films myself. Recently, I’ve been dabbling with cinemagraphs.
